CHASExcellence exists to honor the life and legacy of Chase. Together with the generosity and partnership of our community, we invest in student-athletes through scholarships that recognize excellence in composure, dedication, toughness, and unity.
Rooted in faith, we believe God brings hope from heartbreak and purpose from pain. By shining light where there has been loss, we strive to ensure that Chase’s legacy continues to inspire excellence, create opportunity, and impact future generations.
On August 30, 2024, our world changed forever.
At just 12 years old, Chase was taken from us in a tragic car accident. The loss left a void, one that only Jesus could fill.
As we walked through the darkest grief, we experienced something extraordinary. Family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even strangers surrounded us with love, encouragement, and prayer. Most importantly, we experienced the faithful presence of Jesus. He carried us day by day, gave us a peace that surpasses understanding, and taught us the difference between temporary happiness and the lasting joy found only in Him.
From that heartbreak, God planted a new purpose.
Rather than allowing tragedy to define Chase’s story, we chose to let his legacy continue through the lives of others. CHASExcellence was born from a desire to transform pain into purpose by investing in young athletes who exemplify excellence. Together with the support of our community, we are creating opportunities to celebrate excellence in others while ensuring Chase’s legacy continues to impact future generations.
The CHASExcellence Scholarship invests in young athletes who pursue excellence on and off the court by exemplifying the qualities of Composure, Dedication, Toughness, and Unity.
Staying calm and focused under pressure, leading by example.
Consistent effort, commitment to improvement, and love for the game.
Mental and physical strength through adversity, on and off the court.
Being a great teammate and lifting others up in pursuit of a shared goal.
Young athletes who live out these values through their commitment to their team, and community. Athletes may apply directly, or coaches may nominate them.
Scholarship awards may be used for club team fees, uniforms, and other essential sport expenses.

In Chase’s 12 years, he filled countless lives with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Sports were a huge part of his life. Chase proudly wore the #25 when he played basketball for the Eagles and lacrosse with Pikes Peak Lacrosse. While he loved to compete, he never let competition get in the way of connection. In fact, he was known to strike up conversations with opposing players during the game. To Chase, making a connection seemed just as important as the final score.
When he wasn’t playing sports, you could usually find him immersed in video games, sketching in a notebook, or excelling academically. He also had a deep love for animals, and his pet turtle was one of his favorites.
Chase’s hugs were legendary. They were the kind that made you feel genuinely loved and valued. Like many adventurous kids, he occasionally found himself in a little trouble, usually because his outgoing personality, curiosity, or nonstop talking got the better of him. Those moments simply add to the countless stories that now make us smile.
Above all, Chase loved Jesus. His faith shaped the way he lived and the way he loved others. Although his time with us was too short, we are grateful to God for the 12 years we were blessed to have with him.
